The Lost Paradise: and how to reclaim the path. Shamanism

March 22, 2018

Our early were much more fortunate than we are. Their camps were very close to the great silver birch which stands at the very centre of the universe and holds up the sky; whose roots lead down to all the halls of the underworld and whose branches stretch up to all the seven heavens. Since it was but a short walk to the Tree, it was a simple matter for anyone and everyone to climb to the heavens or follow its roots to the realms below. The marvels of heaven and the underworld weren't hidden from our ancestors. Compared to us, they were like gods.

One day , however, a terrible thing happened. A man vowed to cut down the Tree. Perhaps he wanted to prove that he was as powerful as the gods. Perhaps he had learned something in his travels up and down the Tree which had turned him against the gods. No one can quite remember,· it was a very long time ago. Anyway, he took his axe, and, summoning up all his strength, struck a great blow at the base of the Tree.

At this blow, the entire universe shook, and all the inhabitants of...

"Dogoto" to heal without medicine

Ancient African Geomancy "Dogoto" to heal without medicine

Image result for Credo mutwa

This is an extract from a paper and lecture I was asked to present as the guest presenter of two International conferences, the first in San Diego USA and the second in Italy.

China has a well-recognized geomantic tradition in Feng Shui. Most, if not all ancient cultures have some kind of geomantic tradition. But what of the great, dark continent of Africa?

Anthony Ashworth went on a pilgrimage to his homeland Africa with the express desire to find out if the Africans, as a group of peoples, had any significant tradition in Geomancy or sacred space. He was more than surprised to find a living tradition as rich as China, Tibet or India. For this tradition, which does not have a name as such, Anthony coined the term "Dogoto" a Zulu word meaning to "Heal without medicine ".

What potential archetypal knowledge infuses all ancient building traditions?

What, if anything, can we learn about these traditions that may inform us, as to the core environmental needs of humanity? Are there core similarities between the various Geomantic traditions, and can we endeavor to define a non-cultural or multi-cultural Geomantic system outside...

Portals and Space Clearing with Mystic

March 15, 2018

"A lot of people talk a good game when it comes to space clearing but here is how proper, magical space-clearing is really done."

This is a reblog from Mystic Medusa blog https://mysticmedusa.com/2012/07/ghost-busting-with-artemis-absinthe/

As some of you know, I got Anthony Ashworth in to do some ghost-busting the other day. And it was brilliant.  He is mostly working in the Southern Hemisphere but he’s networked to the hilt (he had an amazing Elder wand carved as a Snake and with a rose quartz crystal in the mouth, it was made for him by England’s Chief Druid at the time) so you can email him to get reccies for space-clearings, ghost-busting etc where-ever it is you live. I like him as he has an insanely brill knowledge of esoterica, Shamanic stuff and myth but he is also an avid listener…And he is Aries! NOT at all like the peeps we bitched about in Bad Guru Syndrome.

So some random thoughts re the process…this is just if you’re interested in space cleansing, ghosts and so on. I get that it may be insanely dull for some peeps.

* I smudge and spray Space Cleansing spray around whenever i clean (a...

Beam me up "not" A Feng Shui & Vastu tip

March 14, 2018

Bedroom Wide Ceiling Beams Over Cool Black And White Bedroom Interior Set With Brown Plaid Area Rug Idea Designed For Men Contemporary Bedroom Ideas for Modern Men

Whilst I love the look of exposed beams. From a Feng Shui and *Vastu point of view, one needs to be careful of the use of them and especially, but not limited to bedrooms and over beds.As they can create a sense of dis-ease, and possible problems with what is known as the "Cutting Chi" The energy of a bow wave that comes off the beam itself,  pressing down, say  over your legs can create health issues in the legs, or between you and your partner may create a pushing apart of the couple. These are only as a potentiality not as a given. Some of my clients just do not feel comfortable sitting under a beam. let alone sleeping under one.

I often suggest enclosing the beams over the bed as an optimal solution or at least painting them out to be the same as the ceiling if they are highlighted or timber or installing a hanging fabric canopy can work well.

 * Vastu is an ancient Indian Vedic Feng Shui system. The Great Grandfather of Feng Shui.

Bush Walks, But Better

Do you feel disconnected from the world, and you need to take a break from city life? Anthony Ashworth, Vastu Feng Shui man, offers his advice for those who want to go out in nature. “Spirit walks in nature Forest Bathing 100% free. In Australia, we are lucky to have an abundance of bushland near or in our cities, so take yourself into nature on a Spirit Walks, the Japanese call it forest bathing. It’s more than a bush walk, it’s where you go into nature more consciously, you start by announcing yourself and your intention to be in the bushie :

"I am Anthony I am here to connect with the spirit of the bush and receive healing" ask permission of the spirit of the forest to be there, then walk very slowly and watch,...

“Nature” and Etymology

March 8, 2018

What is at the root of this word. Nature.

Etymology

Many shamans and spiritual luminaries I have studied with, look to Etymology for clues to spiritual truths. The famous African shaman Credo Mutwa, brought this to my attention, when spending days sitting humbly with him, soaking up & receiving his Afrikan wisdom.

Etymology is the study of the origin of words and the way in which their meanings have changed throughout history. A chronological account of the birth and development of a particular word or element of a word, often delineating its spread from one language to another and its evolving changes in form and meaning.

The word “nature” originates from the Egyptian word for deity, the formative spirits or elementals, and the other than earthy realms.

Neter means Nature , simply put that before vowels(the corruption) existed it was Ntr . So The Neter Gods , Nature Gods The ancient Egyptian word “netjer,” sometimes also spelled “netcher” and, somewhat astray, “neter.” It is transliterated as nTr, where the “T” represents a prepalatal stop usually rendered in Western speech as a “ch” sound.

Nature and being in nature is inexorably linked with spirituality, shamans have know this for tens of thousands of years before the Egyptians.

Wallis Budge, the great Egyptologist, recognized something fundamental about the word natura: "Another definition of the word [NTR], given by Brugsch, means...

What is a nature spirit ?

March 8, 2018

"In mythology, nature spirits, or deities are composed of etheric matter. Their job is to build and maintain the plant kingdom while working in conjunction with the devas and elementals. ... Adherents may literally consider such deities to be divine beings that control particular natural phenomena."
Photo by Anthony Ashworth. taken on a Spirit Walk

That's a definition I found online, and here directly links to deities as well, which is a little odd in my view. I think they mean Deva's, which are Vedic angel-like beings, responsible for creation amongst other roles.

But the word Deva's is now used to describe bigger landscape nature spirits? Nature Spirits are much broader than just being associated with plants, they are associated with all nature from plants to rivers to rocks, to crystals mountains and caves, forests & entire complex landscapes. Plants tend to be more readily relatively accessible, but I'm sure many of us have felt the spirit of a river or waterfall haunt our consciousness.
Nature spirits are also be named fairies, and gnomes and sliths and the like. Shamans and our ancestors have taught us we can connect and learn from these Nature beings, big or...

Sick Buildings

March 6, 2018

Sometimes it’s not people that are the problem, but the building they are in.

A client rang me to ask for advice.

Jenny had been having lunch with a work colleague and that they had been discussed how a particular building they had both worked in and in which Pam still worked daily. They began to discuss the building and both agreed that it just had a really awful feel.

No one liked working there.

It seemed to drag people’s moods down and just felt off, it felt like the building was angry?

My client Jenny had obviously been hanging around me (a House Whisperer), too long. She told me, she had asked her work friend Pam, to reach out and touch the wall of the café they were having lunch in.

She said “touch the wall and ask the building, if it is male or female?”

Much to Pam’s surprise, she immediately got the answer “Female”.

Jen then said, “now ask the building.  What its purpose is? ”

Pam did and got “’to bring people together”

Jen said why not ask your troubled & sick building what its purpose is. Pam said oh no, I don’t like the energy...

Spend time in Nature, it’s critical to being a human!

Spend time in Nature, it’s critical to being a human!

Spend time in Nature, it’s critical to being a human!
Nature is what formed us & raised us as beings. She, Nature is our literal ancient Mother!
It’s not a metaphor; she is the womb from whence we came, the mother that raised us in her likeness and the Mother that provides all to us, her children. And of course, the Father, the Sun, provides a vital source of energy without which we could not live either.
We come out of her & from her. But we ARE also her! Or at the least her beloved children, yes I believe the earth is capable of & loves us !

Why bother to connect with nature? What’s in it for me?

February 20, 2018

Why bother to connect with nature? What’s in it for me?

“The true frontier for humanity is learning to connect.” Dr. Sue Johnson

Image result for nature nuture

I have for many years now spent time in nature, deliberately connecting with the spirit of the bush and the inhabitants that reside there, both in form and in spirit. I knew it felt good when I spent time in Nature. I knew in my bones it was good for me. I felt more real, I felt happier, more connected and importantly more resilient to life’s trials, but why? Even despite a number of tragedies amongst my family and friends that should have been enough to throw me into depression and anxiety.

So, what’s in it for us as human beings to bother connecting with nature and the spirits that inhabit her? Through those tragedies, I had also begun to get counselling support and this reintroduced me to a passion for the study of psychology, which in turn helped me to understand & elucidate the human condition. At last, I had some better understanding of & ways to articulate why my processes of connecting with Nature seem so powerful over and above it just feeling nice...
